Lunch specials are great. Good price, good quantity and quality. I haven't had regular menu items, but should be as good as lunch menu
The lunch special is only $10. taste very delicious. They also have karaoke pirate room. If you have a big group, must make restoration. They always fall.
I stayed at the hotel down the street from this restaurant, and had lunch and dinner here. Please understand that this is a truly Chinese restaurant in a truly Chinese neighborhood. So there were things on the menu that didn't appeal to my Anglo sensitivities. I ordered the beef with scallions. I got a great-sized portion (although I had to ask for white rice). The waiter/owner(?) tried upsizing me to a dinner that I just didn't really want. He was cool when I said I'd stick with my selection. Please note that Special Restaurant offers a small cup of soup with their lunch specials, but not with dinner. The food was excellent and plentiful. It came seasoned with ginger and red onions as well as the scallions. And I got out of there for less than $20...far less than what others here have said. I was very pleased with my choice, and would recommend this place to others.
New-ish Chinese restaurant between 7th and 8th ave (closer to 7th). Got a few takeout dishes from their specials menu - the fried tofu, and a fish fillet dish with green beans. Portion sizes are good, but holy crap, everything is so salty. If you don't read Chinese, then be careful with the English descriptions on the menu cuz they'll add things like shrimp paste that'll completely change what you thought the dish was.
We had a party of 10 people and we almost ordered one dish from each category. Fish, beef, lobster, soup, Everything is super delicious! Strongly recommended the restaurant!
